Craicmore regularly works with Irish Dancers . In fact up to 40% of Craicmore's performances include Dancers live on stage , brightly costumed, energetic and bringing a heightened visual impact. Most often Irish Dance companies from the local and surrounding communities are brought in and offer excellent dancers from very young to athletic twenty somethings.
Specifically arranged dance music from Craicmore is prerecorded and shipped to the dance company resident director, along with a detailed lead sheet, over a month in advance of the performance. This allows for choreography and rehearsal to take place well in advance of Craicmore's arrival at the venue. On show day, after the group's sound check is complete, a single 45-minute rehearsal/run through with the dancers ensures a well-designed and professional concert.
Craicmore is always eager to discuss possibilities in your community. Dancers have joined the group not only on stages around the country, but also in some of their Celtic Connections Arts In Education programming.
Generally Dancers are contracted directly by Presenters for Craicmore concerts and with their connections in the Irish Dance world across the country, Craicmore is able to offer help in finding and vetting the best available companies.
